Drunk driver side swipes police car on busy US motorway
A drunk van driver has been filmed on dashcam side swiping a police car on a busy motorway.
Officer Timothy O'Haire had pulled another driver on to the side of the road in Bratenahl, Ohio, when his cruiser was hit by the speeding van.
Dashcam inside the police car captured the swift crash, which sent parts of the car flying into the air.
A little stunned, officer O'Haire can be heard speaking over police radio trying to explain what had just happened.
Moments later he speeds off to track down the reckless driver.
Local media reported two other officers responded to assist him.
They eventually tracked down the van driver which said ‘Ace Taxi’ on the side.
When they spoke with the driver, Antoine Keith Miller, they noticed a smell of alcohol.
Mr Miller also had a passenger with him inside the car, who was reportedly uninjured.
Officer O'Haire was also uninjured in the crash.
