Australia Post evacuated near Brisbane Airport
Queensland Police confirmed this afternoon that they are currently assisting AFP following the discovery of a suspicious item that was found in a building near Brisbane's Airport.
They later confirmed that the Australia Post building- which backs onto the airport runway- has been evacuated as a precautionary procedure.
A spokesperson from Brisbane Airport confirmed that departing and arriving flights have not been disrupted.
