Teen partygoers allegedly hit female police officer with bottles

A policewoman was assaulted and struck on the head with a bottle as officers tried to break up an out-of-control party on the Gold Coast.

The party at Labrador, organised by a 15-year-old boy, was advertised over Facebook with more than 100 attendees expected.

160 people sent RSVPs.

Police arrived on the scene following a noise complaint, only to find more than 100 teens drinking alcohol and acting rowdily.

When they tried to shut down the party, one boy allegedly assaulted an acting sergeant.

He was arrested at the scene.

Police allege when the officer tried to seize the boy, other partygoers threw bottles at her.

One of the bottles hit her in the head.

The officer was treated at the scene by paramedics.

16 police crews were called for backup.

One of the alleged attackers is facing three charges of assault.
