Teen allegedly bashed with golf club during violent home invasion

A teenage boy was allegedly bashed with a golf club during a violent home invasion on the NSW Central Coast.

Police claim the 14-year-old was taken to hospital with head injuries after the attack at a residence on Dunbay Way in North Gosford on Monday.

A police spokesman said the boy and a man were at the home about 11.10pm when two men dressed in dark clothing forced their way inside.

The intruders threatened the pair with a golf club before allegedly striking the teen over the head.

They then allegedly stole the man’s wallet before fleeing.

The teen was taken to Gosford Hospital in a stable condition.

It’s unclear if the attack was random.

Forensic officers have examined the home and detectives are looking for two men who were wearing black tracksuit pants, dark hoodies and had their faces covered.

Anyone with information about the attack has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page.
