Let's party! Here's where Australia will be celebrating New Years Eve

The time has come to farewell 2015.
If you’re keen on being part of the party here’s the best spots to catch the fireworks in your state.

SYDNEY
The biggest bang of all will be held in Sydney with the celebration kicking off at 9pm with tributes to the 200th anniversary of the Royal Botanic Garden and to mark of 100 years of Taronga Zoo. The midnight fireworks from the Sydney Harbour Bridge will last about 12 minutes.

Here are the best spots to enjoy the show:

BRADFIELD PARK
One of the best places to watch the fireworks with views of the eastern side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Capacity is 50,000 but it fills up quickly.

MRS MACQUARIES POINT
Found inside the Royal Botanical Gardens, the area will be open from 10am. Capacity is 16,000 and entry is free!

BARANGAROO RESERVE
It will be the first time those lucky enough to get a ticket will be able to catch the annual fireworks show from this spot on the edge of Sydney CBD and Hickson Rd. Capacity is 10,000 people, entry from 6pm.

THE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE
The most popular spot for tourists so if you’re not a fan of crowds it’s probably a no-go. Still, it’s one of the best places to bring in the New Year in Australia. Visitors will be treated to aerial displays from 6pm.


OTHER DISPLAYS IN SYDNEY
Not keen on the main event but still want to see fireworks? Here’s where else you can watch a display in Sydney.

CAMPBELLTOWN
Koshigaya Park will have fireworks at 9pm and midnight.

LIVERPOOL
Fireworks will be held at 9pm at Chipping Norton Lake.

PARRAMATTA
River foreshore will have fireworks from 9pm.

MANLY
Manly Cove will have fireworks from 9pm


BRISBANE
New Years Eve is expected to be bigger than ever in Brisbane this year with family friendly events to be held at Southbank, Portside Wharf and Eagle Street Pier. Entertainment will begin from midday at Southbank with a display starting ay 8.30pm and the big bang happening at midnight. All public transport will be free in Brisbane from 9pm on New Year's Eve until 5.30am on New Year's Day.

MELBOURNE

While it’s predicted to be a scorcher, Yarra Park will host family-friendly fireworks at 9.30pm, before their 10 minute celebration lights up the sky at midnight. Party goers can watch the display from Docklands, Kings Domain, the Treasury and Flagstaff Gardens.



ADELAIDE
The city of Adelaide will light up the banks of the River Torrens at 8.50pm and a 15 minute display will bring in the New Year from Riverbank Bridge at midnight. Adelaide Oval will once again light up during a match with the Adelaide Strikers. Fans will be treated to a concert and light show immediately after the game.

PERTH
Perth will host a massive free outdoor event leading up to the midnight countdown at Northbridge. Beautiful Kings Park will also host a family friendly New Years celebration and Rottnest Island will light up the skies from 9pm.
