Elderly woman trapped in bathroom as fire guts Adelaide townhouse
There are reports an elderly woman was trapped inside during a housefire in an Adelaide suburb yesterday.
The woman is now believed to be safe and well.
Three two storey townhouses on Coke Street in Norwood were engulfed in flames amid reports at least one person was unaccounted for.
Residents from surrounding streets were evacuated as firefighters battled to contain the flames.
Witnesses reported hearing screaming from inside the homes.
They say the fire started in a brush fence before spreading to the properties. One has been gutted.
