El Chapo's son accidentally tweets father's hiding place

We bet he’s regretting that tweet.

The son of Mexican drug lord El Chapo, who famously dug his way out of a maximum-security prison in July, has accidentally let slip his father’s hiding place in Costa Rica.

Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar tweeted a happy-snap with his father but reportedly forgot to turn off the feature that tags your location.

If his father is found it will be karma's revenge as the 29-year-old regularly posts pictures with his fugitive father, taunting authorities.

Costa Rican officials are reportedly investigating the claims.

El Chapo made headlines around the world with his elaborate prison break which saw him escape through an underground tunnel system which was air-conditioned and even had a motorcycle fitted on tracks.

Mexican authorities currently have a $3.8million bounty on the drug lord's head, with the US government adding another $5million to that sum and setting up a special tip line for anyone who has information about his whereabouts.

It's relativity small change compared to El Chappo's estimated $1billion net worth, largely from drug sales.
