Qld highway reopens after truck rollover

A central Queensland highway will close again on Friday afternoon so emergency crews can recover the trailer from a truck that rolled.

The Carnarvon Highway 40km west of Rolleston was closed just after 5pm on Thursday and reopened temporarily on Friday morning.

The trailer was carrying volatile ammonium nitrate, however the truck driver managed to escape without injury.

The incident comes after eight people including four firefighters and a police officer were injured when a truck carrying ammonium nitrate exploded in Charleville, southwest Queensland, last month.
