Police hunt for three men who attacked sleeping couple in Adelaide

Police are searching for three men who broke into an Adelaide home armed with a garden fork, broom and metal pole and attacked the occupants while they were sleeping.

Just before 2:30am (ACDT) the victims were asleep in their Stonyfell home when they were confronted by three men wearing balaclavas.

One victim had a necklace ripped off her neck and the other was assaulted with the metal pole.

He suffered minor injuries.

The suspects fled with jewellery, electrical items, car keys and cash.

Police searched the area but were unable to find the suspects.

The only description given for the men is that one of them was wearing a green top.
