Facebook used to groom Vic kids for sex

A Victorian man allegedly used a fake Facebook profile to groom children for sex.

Police say the 21-year-old Morwell man had online contact with three children, aged 12 to 14.

The case was uncovered during an investigation into cyber-bullying at a Latrobe Valley high school.

The man's home was raided and items were seized for forensic examination.

"It's alleged the offender was using a fictitious Facebook account," according to a Victoria Police statement.

He will face court on 14 counts of using a carriage service to groom a person aged under 16 for sexual activity.
