Armed robbery at Sydney liquor store

Police are on the hunt for a masked bandit who terrorised a liquor store attendant at gunpoint during an armed robbery in Sydney's southwest.

The man, whose face was covered with a blue bandanna, entered the store at Padstow about 5.45pm on Sunday armed with a firearm and demanded money from the 23-year-old attendant.

He then fled with cash.

The robber is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 175cm tall and with an average build. He was wearing a black hooded-jumper over a white t-shirt.
