Man arrested after multiple Qld assaults

A man has been arrested after a string of indecent assaults and robberies in Queensland's mining town of Mount Isa.

Police say the 26-year-old man was charged after he allegedly tried to indecently assault a 13-year-old girl along Abel Smith Parade at about 4pm on Saturday.

The girl managed to run to safety.

It is also alleged the man then entered a shop where he sexually assaulted a woman before leaving and, once outside, he kicked another woman in the leg causing her to fall.

He is then alleged to have assaulted a 15-year-old teen and attempted to steal his wallet.

The man was charged with attempted sexual assault, sexual assault, assault occasioning bodily harm, and robbery with violence.

He is due to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
