Boy, 17, dies in Sydney crash

A 17-year-old boy is dead and another injured following a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's west.

Police said two utes collided on Andrews Road in Penrith about 10pm (AEST) on Friday.

Paramedics attempted to revive the 17-year-old driver from Datsun, but he died at the scene.

A 17-year-old male passenger was taken to Westmead Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the second ute, also 17, was uninjured but taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests, police said.
