Chemical spill at Lucas Heights Nuclear Reactor

Two people have been taken to hospital as a precaution after a chemical spill at Sydney's Lucas Heights nuclear reactor site.

Police say a pressure build up in a plastic container caused it to split, slashing an unknown chemical onto the legs of two male workers.

Paramedics have checked both men on the scene and they don't appear to be injured.

They have been taken to hospital as a precaution.

Fire and rescue crews are on scene to check the area is safe.

Although it's at the ANSTO site, it is not being treated as a nuclear-related incident.
