Man charged over alleged pharmacy robberies

A man has been arrested and charged over a spate of alleged armed hold-ups in Adelaide’s northern suburbs over the past fortnight.

Police say a 23-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested yesterday and has been charged over six alleged robberies at chemists and a liquor store since September 14.

They allege the man wore a disguise when entering stores and allegedly threatening staff with a knife.

Money was allegedly stolen on each occasion, but no-one was injured in any of the incidents.

The man was refused bail.

Police are continuing their enquiries and have asked anyone with any information about the alleged robberies to contact Crime Stoppers.
