East Gippsland firefighters battle blazes

ABC November 3, 2009, 12:08 pm

Firefighters are working to contain two bushfires in east Gippsland.

A ten hectare fire is burning at the Cape Conran Coastal Park, while a ten hectare fire is burning in state forest near Genoa.

The fires began yesterday.

The Department of Sustainability and Environment is expecting wind gusts of up to 55 kilometres an hour this afternoon.
