An alleged member of the Fourth Reich bikie gang is expected to be charged with firearms offences following a raid in the NSW Southern Highlands, police say.

Strike Force Raptor officers on Wednesday arrested the 45-year-old man during a search of a large property at Sutton Forest.

The 5.30am (AEDT) search was part of an operation targeting firearm and drug-related offences, police said.

Officers had allegedly located 17 firearms including nine rifles, two shotguns, five pistols and a pen gun, along with a quantity of ammunition, gun barrels and cannabis.

The man had been taken to Bowral Police Station, where charges were expected to be laid, police said.
