The Britney Spears Circus has hit Perth.
The headline-grabbing pop diva arrived in
Sydney early on Wednesday for her first Australian concert tour."Longest flight ever but we had a great time ... So excited to be here," Spears said on Twitter after arriving.
But she avoided the small group of fans who waited for her at Sydney airport, instead boarding a private jet for the flight to Perth.She kicks off the first of 15 concerts in Perth on Friday night.
Spears touched down in Perth about 9am (WST), with her plane taxiing into a private hangar.She was ushered into a waiting van, disappointing autograph hunters.
Police, paparazzi and fans had converged on the airport for her arrival.Her worldwide Circus tour - with a cast of 44 dancers, magicians, clowns and acrobats - opened in New Orleans in March.
She will perform in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before finishing in Adelaide on November 29.
