ABC presenter sorry for 'crazy' gesture

A television presenter has apologised after making a rude gesture on air.

Virginia Trioli was talking to Senator Barnaby Joyce on the ABC's News Breakfast, when she was caught making a 'loopy' sign.

The Senator was talking about the Government's proposed Emissions Trading Scheme, while Ms Trioli pulled a face, twirling her finger.

Ms Trioli apologised this morning, saying, "I'd like take this opportunity now to apologise to you, our viewers, for my lapse in judgement. I also spoke yesterday to Senator Joyce and he very graciously accepted my apology."

I commend the comment and the finger sign, we are putting up with so much media hype about what we as mere persons on this planet should observe. Namely believing the answer to the world is through politicians. Rubbish!!!!!!!!!!! we need to have balanced comments. Good on you triolli. deano

There are other avenues to continue highlighting the henious crime of political biase shown by the alleged reporter from ABC one of them is direct to the horses mouth not the other end which appears to have come to this site
