TV host accidentally gives away free trip to Puerto Rico

A lucky woman is heading on an incredible trip to Puerto Rico thanks to an on-air slip by a US television host.

The woman had called up to answer a trivia question on the talk show Live! With Kelly and Michael, when she scored the free luxurious trip after host Michael Strahan made a big blunder.

"On yesterday's show, we talked to Jeremy Renner. What sport did Jeremy say he once taught at a part-time job?" Strahan asked the caller.

"Sport?" the caller named Kelly asked before Strahan quickly replied, "Bowling, you got it!"

The audience cheered, but it was co-host Kelly Ripa who pointed out her colleague's mistake.

"She said 'sport,'" Ripa clarified as Strahan realised his mistake and covered his face with his hands in embarrassment.

"The least you could do is bring Michael with you," Ripa then joked, adding, "This is the greatest thing that's ever happened to us!"

While Ripa congratulated the lucky caller who benefited from Strahan's live television blunder, he was concentrating on the possible consequences he could face.

"Well, you know what's funny is that some of the producers are looking at me like 'you in trouble,' and the other ones are laughing at me," he said.

Strahan is far from the first television host to make a hilarious on-air blunder. He now joins the long list of television stars who have had hilarious live TV fails.
