Billionaire, 82, 'worried' about Playboy wife

A 25-year-old former Playboy model who wed an 82-year-old Austrian billionaire says she had to choose between 'love and her career' when they got married after seven months of dating.

Cathy Schmitz and Richard Lugner, who have a 57-year age difference, admit they have concerns about their marriage, the Daily Mail reports, but both insist they married for love.

"When we met I thought he was a nice guy. I knew he was rich, I am from Germany - he is very famous person," Ms Schmitz said.

"Of course it's nice to life a luxury life. But it's not very important to me."

Lugner, a successful businessman, has been married four times before he came around to marrying Cathy. He didn't want to get married again and admits he still worries his new love is only marrying him for the weight of his wallet.

"When I met Cathy I had been divorced for seven years. I didn't want to get married ever again," he said.

"I am always worried. Ladies are very dangerous, to be married is dangerous.

"I like to fight with the young ladies. It's better for me."

Cathy, who was trying to make her name as TV presenter in Germany before she crossed paths with the billionaire, admits that she loves the luxury lifestyle that comes with being Richard's wife, but that it isn't the reason she married him.

Schmitz is not concerned with the half-a-century age difference and says she has married a 'good teacher' for marriage.

"None of his wives were as old as him," she said.

Lugner is known for paying celebrity beauties such as Raquel Welch, Farrah Fawcett and Pamela Anderson to go to the Opera Ball in Vienna with him every year, with reports he paid half a million dollars to Kim Kardashian for date duty despite calling her 'annoying' for 'not sticking to the program' of staying by his side during the evening.
