Prisoner goes missing while on leave to attend funeral
Police are on the hunt for a prisoner who went missing after being let out to attend a funeral.
Jason Osborne was given leave from Whanganui Prison to attend a funeral on March 10, but police say while a family member was returning him, he took off on foot.
They are now appealing for information and say it's possible he is in New Plymouth.
Anyone who sees Osborne or knows where he might be, is asked to contact New Plymouth Police on (06) 759 5500.
