Two dead in Rockhampton ultralight plane crash
Two men have been killed in an ultralight plane crash north of Rockhampton in Queensland.
Queensland Police confirmed emergency crews found the plane wreckage roughly 1 kilometre from the runway of an airfield on Yeppoon Road in Mulara.
"Initial inquires indicate the ultralight plane had taken off about 1.00pm," a police spokesperson said.
"At 3.20pm authorities notified it was overdue."
Both men died at the scene.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
