Mother jumps with son off high-rise building after nose job left her 'looking like a pig'
A Russian woman who held her sleeping son as she leapt to her death off a high-rise building was reportedly depressed after a botched nose job left her ‘looking like a pig’.
Anna Ozhigova, 33, took her own life and the life of her eight-year-old son after she became depressed over her plastic surgery and the breakdown of her marriage.
Ms Ozhigova’s bungled surgery left her with oversized nostrils that ‘made her feel like a pig’.
According to her friends, the operation was the beginning of an unfortunate chain of events that lead to her death.
Local media reported that Ms Ozhigova’s son, Gleb, was sleeping in her arms when she jumped from her parent’s high-rise apartment in the Russian city of Omsk.
His body was found near hers.
The Russian Investigative Committee said the distressed mother had left a note, citing ‘personal reasons’ for her behaviour.
A friend close to Ms Ozhigova said she felt pressured to go under the knife after the plastic surgeon convinced her that her nose didn’t suit her.
On social media she reportedly told the friend: “I can’t smile. My nostrils are now as big as if I was a pig, and moving apart.
“My smile is now a frown because he removed muscles above my lip and changed something. My husband is oinking when he sees me.”
The friend claimed Ms Ozhigova was afraid her husband would take custody of their son.
