The 28-year-old UK man was travelling through the Queensway Tunnel from Birkenhead to Liverpool located in the northwest of England.

The BMW was travelling at an estimated 72 kilometres - 20 kilometres over the tunnel's speed limit.

Rapsys' car swerves between lanes and cars in a series of daring moves and almost hits a truck as he races from Wirral towards Liverpool.

The ruthless driver loses control of the vehicle and ploughs into the wall of the tunnel.

He dangerously swerves to the opposite side of the traffic and narrowly misses a bus in a crash that could have been lethal.

Fortunately, Rapsys avoided injury to himself and others and he was failed for six months last week, the publication reports.

Judge David Aubrey, QC, said it was a miracle that no-one was fatally injured or hurt.

“You drove like a maniac. In my judgement, you drove like a drunken maniac," Judge Aubrey said.

Rapsys admitted to reckless and drink driving and will be banned from the road for two years, which will begin when he is released from prison.

According to the publication, Rapsys had a blood-alcohol reading of 76 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit in the UK is 35 microgrammes.
