P-plater caught on camera narrowly avoiding devastating head-on crash
A truck driver has recorded a heart-stopping near miss between a P-plater, his truck and two on-coming vehcicles.
Simon Gauci posted the video to Facebook showing the moment he was forced to swerve off the road to make space for the speeding driver trying to overtake on a blind bend.
“This scared the absolute s--- out of me today!” he wrote.
“I thought this p plater (sic) was dead, luckily there was room for me to swerve to the side.
“If this is your child or you recognise this car, this person needs a good talking to, otherwise they won’t be around much longer if they continue to drive like this!”
The video shows Mr Gauci’s blue truck steer off of the road to make space for the car, which was speeding past on a right hand bend over double lines.
The silver-hatch back can be seen narrowly making it back onto the correct side of the road at the last second as the two oncoming vehicles brake hard.
An exasperated Mr Gauci can be heard swearing as the driver speeds off into the distance, apparently oblivious to the devastation they narrowly avoided.
