Victorian woman drowns in Christmas Day tragedy
A woman has drowned at a public swimming pool in the early hours of the morning.
Police were called to the pool on Salisbury Street at Orborst just after 3am this morning after receiving reports that a woman had drowned.
They found a 19-year-old Orbost woman dead at the scene. She had reportedly become trapped under a pool cover.
It is believed she, along with friends, had climbed a fence to access the public pool.
Victorian police will now prepare a report for the coroner.
