Husband caught with mistress is whipped in public by scorned wife
A Peruvian woman who was filmed repeatedly hitting her cheating husband with a whip, is waiting to see if she will be charged with assault.
The incident happened after Suzana Vasquez, from Cajamarca in north-west Peru, spotted husband Jaime Zambrano go to a local hotel with his mistress.
Suspecting her spouse was philandering, Ms Vasquez had followed him after he told her he was going out to meet friends.
She then saw him enter a local hotel holding hands with another woman.
Furious, she consulted a local street security volunteer group whose job it is to help keep the peace, and together they persuaded Jaime, the father of her two children, to accompany her to a nearby cafe for a quiet chat.
However, she was clearly unable to have kept her temper under control at the cafe, and verbally laid into him before pulling out a whip and repeatedly hitting him with it.
On the videotape, Ms Vasquez can be heard screaming: “You’ve betrayed your mum. You’ve betrayed your children and me.
“I told you I’ll find and punish you. My children have nothing to eat and you go off and spend our money on this.”
Police say they have yet to decide whether she will face charges.
