Teen critical with gunshot wound to the head

Police are investigating how a 19-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the head in Sydney last night.

Reports have emerged suggesting the young man may have been playing Russian roulette – a game in which participants place a partially loaded gun to their heads before pulling the trigger.

However, a spokesman for New South Wales Police said it was too early to confirm if that was the case.

Josh Taylor, 19, allegedly shot himself in the head while playing a game of Russian Roulette.

He said police were still investigating the incident but if witnesses had claimed he was participating in the potentially deadly game it would form part of the inquiry.

At this stage the shooting is not believed to be suspicious.
