Stranger gets copied into bucks emails and joins the party

This is the sort of story that wouldn’t be out of place in a movie.

It is the tale of how one man who got accidentally included in another’s bucks’ party email chain and the result was quite a surprise.

On February 11 Joey DiJulio, from Seattle, got the first email of many referring to the the bachelor party of Jeff Minetti which was due to take place on other side of the US in Philadelphia.

The invite read: "Has anyone else noticed now that Jeff has been rocking the beard for a while - he looks like a middle aged Pavarotti?"

"At times, he also has ventured into a bit of hipster phase. In addition to publicly questioning his fashion choices, his bachelor party will be a good time for us to celebrate him leading up to his wedding."

As the weeks passed the continuing stream of messages quickly became a source of entertainment for DiJulio.

The stranger to the bachelor group loved the banter and learning about the seedy plans of his mystery on the other side of the country.

After deciding enough was enough DiJulio clicked ‘Reply All’ and revealed his identity.

DiJulio started the awkward email saying: "Hi all, So, I have no idea who any of you guys are, but I have been enjoying being a fly on the wall hearing about the plans for this bachelor party.

"I thought it might be funny to just show up and be that guy nobody knows but everyone wonders 'who is that guy?', buying a plane ticket for a cross-country flight just to crash a bachelor's party might be a bit over the top (although it would be epic!).

"Nonetheless, I do hope you guys have a great time and I'd like to take a moment to wish the best of luck in life to the groom!"
The groom’s response to the email was quite a surprise.

He said: "Joe, I'm overnighting you a wedding invite. You show up at the bachelor party and I'll make you my best man. You can give the toast even.’

After attending "one heck of a night" at the bucks', DiJulio set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for the couple's honeymoon to Italy.
