Aussie in labour forces emergency landing

A Malaysian Airlines flight has made an emergency landing in Bali for an Australian passenger who was in labour.

Spokesman for Ngurah Rai airport managers Angkasa Pura, Herry A. Y. Sikado, says flight MH135 from Kuala Lumpur to Brisbane requested a priority landing on Friday because the woman was "about to give birth".

The plane with 178 passengers landed at 2.10pm local time and the woman was rushed to Kasih Ibu Hospital, Mr Herry said.

MH135 departed for Brisbane at 4.14pm and the airport says flights are running to schedule.
