Man stabbed in chest in Sydney's west

A man is in hospital with a punctured lung after being stabbed during a confrontation at a house in Sydney's west.

Police say that just after midnight on Monday two men, aged 19 and 22, were in the Warwick Farm premises on Stroud Street when two other men, aged 20 and 22, forced entry through the front door.

Following an altercation the 20-year-old man was stabbed in the chest.

He walked from the house before collapsing on Governor Macquarie Drive at Chipping Norton where a passing motorist contacted paramedics who treated the man at the scene, police said.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition with a punctured lung.

Police arrested the three other men at the house in Warwick Farm and they were assisting with inquiries.
