Family's plea to find missing Melbourne mother

The family of a missing Melbourne mother-of-two has made an emotional appeal for her safe return.

Angelika Peters has not been seen or heard from since she left her home in Fisher Parade, Ascot Vale, on Thursday at around 9.30am.

The 45-year-old's heartbroken daughters have pleaded with anyone who knows where she is to contact police.

Her disappearance is said to be out of character and police are concerned for her safety.

Angelika is Caucasian in appearance, has brown hair and a medium build.

She was last seen wearing a blue top and dark pants but may also have a blue and red top with her.

Anyone who knows of Angelika's whereabouts is urged to call Triple 0.
