Injured Kings of Leon star will play

Injured Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill has confirmed he'll be back behind the kit on Wednesday, despite suffering after his stage comeback at the Made in America festival on Sunday night.

The rockers were forced to scrap a series of gigs last month after Followill broke his ribs in a tour bus crash, but their Mechanical Bull tour is back on track following a performance at Jay Z's annual Labor Day holiday event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Followill assured fans he was feeling OK on Tuesday.

"Last day home before the tour kicks back off. Resting up & getting ready for my return to a full set. No pain, no gain," the 35-year-old tweeted.

After his band's Made in America performance, the drummer admitted he was feeling a little battered, tweeting, "Almost home & I can't cry myself 2 (sic) sleep fast enough. Thank heavens for 2 days off before the next show. Fractured ribs are no joke. I ache."

Kings of Leon will return to the road for a show in Virginia Beach, Virginia on Wednesday.
