Mission to Mars
It is not the latest Hollywood blockbuster – although it is still science fiction.
Stunning images have been released showing a group of scientists trying to recreate the conditions of Mars – in the deserts of Utah in the United States.
And there are plans for the Mars Desert Research Station to start a similar project in the Australian outback.
The volunteers are trying to discover ways to investigate the possibility of human exploration of Mars in the future.
They wear simulated space suits at all times when outside, carry air supplies and live in a small base with rations while conducting science experiments.
