Five arrested after Haberfield home invasion

Five males have been arrested after a terrifying home invasion at Haberfield in Sydney's inner-west early this morning.

Police say two males entered the house on Tressider Avenue at around 5:30am.

One of the males hit the man with a wooden bat before stealing the car keys to his Mercedes.

The injured man rushed outside where he was approached by a group of males, who speed off in his car.

Just before 11 o'clock this morning, officers stopped the stolen luxury car in a fast food car park, and the five males were arrested.
