Russian 'skywalkers' release dizzying internet video

A video of a girl walking a concrete beam hundreds of metres from the ground is the latest example of a dangerous internet craze popular with Russia's youth.

The video shows the girl's chest and feet as she looks down and walks step-by-step, and hands free, along the beam with the street in sight, hundreds of metres below.

Published on liveleak.com, the dizzying video shows the girl dare to kneel down on the beam and peer towards the suburban street.

'Skywalking,' refers to a current fad that has become popular with Russia's idle youth. It involves scaling towering structures – monuments, electrical towers, tall buildings - and taking photos or videos of the view below.

Recently a group of Russian youths released pictures of themselves climbing to the top of Moscow State University, 240 metres above ground, with far-reaching views of the Russian capital.
