Desperate mother posts autistic bullying video online

WARNING: THIS VIDEO MAY CONTAIN MATERIAL THAT SOME VIEWERS FIND DISTURBING AND OFFENSIVE.

A desperate mother has posted a video on Facebook of her autistic teen daughter being attacked in the hope it will raise awareness to bullying and stop other attacks.

In the disturbing video, a 13-year old by the name of Kayleigh is filmed while a group of bullies verbally and physically attack her as she waits at a bus stop.

The helpless teenager, who suffers from an autism spectrum disorder, ignores the taunts until she is slapped in the face, kicked and has her hair pulled by a 15-year old attacker.

A four-minute video was originally posted to YouTube by one of the bullies before quickly being removed. However, the damage was already done and the video has now been copied and shared at least 70,000 times as the community rallies around the victim and her family.

The unnamed mother said she “did this to support my daughter”, posting the video on Facebook titled “How low can you go? Kayleigh’s last school day.”

A Facebook hate group has been created against the main perpetrator of the bullying attack, who also risks being expelled from school and is receiving death threats.
