Heavy storm causes power cuts in Darwin

Hundreds of homes were without power in Darwin's rural area this afternoon after a heavy storm brought down a tree.

Power and Water says the power was cut across the Bees Creek-Virginia area about 2.30pm.

The corporation says power has been restored to most of the area, except for some homes and businesses in Bees Creek.
