A group of Christian street preachers has faced Adelaide Magistrates Court to argue against council by-laws on spruiking.
Four men have been taken to court by Adelaide City Council over more than $1,800 in unpaid fines for unauthorised spruiking in Rundle Mall.
The men have represented themselves in court, claiming the by-laws are invalid because they breach their constitutional rights.
A lawyer for the Council told the court any constitutional challenge would be better heard by a higher court.
