Preacher dead outside Adelaide hotel

A man has been found dead outside a hotel at Smithfield in Adelaide's northern suburbs.

Police say the body was found just after 6:00am ACDT at the hotel in Main North Road.

A friend found the body when he arrived to pick the man up for work.

Police say the man suffered a medical episode, but the precise cause is not clear.

He was Pius Bazigiye, 53, a father of seven and grandfather of three, who was a preacher and Burundian community elder.
