A police pursuit ended with a man crashing into a parked car in Victoria Park last night.

The 23-year-old man had earlier evaded a police request to stop and was being followed for a second time when the crash happened.

Police allege that shortly before 11pm a patrol crew tried to stop a Holden Commodore on Great Eastern Highway in Burswood. The vehicle failed to stop and drove away.

Police followed the car but lost sight of it near King George Street in Victoria Park.

About ten minutes later, the car was seen driving through the Burswood Entertainment Complex, where an unmarked police car started to follow the Commodore.

The car drove along Victoria Park Drive towards Perth before the driver did a u-turn.

The car then accelerated away before doing another u-turn.

Police said the Commodore approached the Graham Farmer Freeway and collided with another car, pushing it off the road and into a wall.

The Commodore then careened out of control and crashed into a parked car.

The driver was taken to Royal Perth Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

He will be summonsed to face the Perth Magistrates Court on two counts of failing to stop when called upon; reckless driving; dangerous driving causing bodily harm; and driving without a licence.
