Quickflix peddles DVDs with mobile customers

Quickflix has partnered with Virgin Mobile to market its online DVD rental company as an alternative to the traditional video store.

In July all new Virgin Mobile post-paid customers will receive a free three month membership to Quickflix.

The DVD business said it had seen strong growth as the local economy declined and consumers opted to stay at home.

Quickflix shares inched upwards by 0.3 cents to 7¢ in mid afternoon trade.
