Mix 94.5 has retained its crown at the top of Perth radio stations despite experiencing a 0.5 per cent fall to 14.5 per cent, in the latest ratings survey by Nielsen.
Its Austereo sister station 92.9 was the biggest loser in the survey falling 1.1 per cent to 13.3 per cent, but it still retained the title of the second most listened to station in Perth.
Meanwhile 96FM and youth station Nova93.7 made significant gains, up one per cent to 11.1 per cent and 1.2 per cent to 10.8 per cent respectively.ABC stations generally lost ground with ABC720 falling 0.6 per cent to 9.4 per cent of the audience and ABCFM losing 0.3 per cent to 3 per cent.
However alternative youth station Triple J's market share grew 0.9 per cent to 6.6 per cent.6PR put on 0.4 per cent to 11.5 while 6IX grew 0.2 per cent to 4.7.
96FM and Nova93.7 were the big winners in the breakfast timeslot, both growing their audience by 1.2 per cent while 92.9 lost 1.8 per cent and Mix 94.5 gave up 0.2 per cent.In the talkback slot between 9am and noon, 6PR built on its lead over rival ABC720 by growing its audience share by 0.5 per cent to 12.4. ABC720 gave up 0.5 per cent to 8.5 per cent.
Mix 94.5, 92.9 and 96FM all lost market share during the drive timeslot (4pm to 7pm), with 92.9 losing 2.6 per cent and 94.5 and 96FM both losing 0.5 per cent.Triple J was the biggest gainer in drive time, putting on 1.6 per cent while Nova93.7 made a gain of 1.3 per cent.
