Fresh from their successful French tour, Australia's under-19 boys' basketball team are confident heading into the world championships in New Zealand.

The Emus head to Auckland in early July but will play practice matches against Spain, Greece and France at a Four Nations tournament in Melbourne in two weeks' time.

The Emus dominated in France, beating Lithuania, Canada, a United States representative side and the host nation.

Australia won eight out of nine games at the last world championships in 2007, but lost the quarter-final to Brazil on the buzzer.

The defeat forced the Emus into a play-off for minor placings and they eventually finished fifth.

Australia: Bryce Arnott, Ryan Broekhoff, Jason Cadee, Matthew Dellavedova, Cody Ellis, Hugh Greenwood, Shane Harris-Tunks, Matthew Hodgson, Brock Motum Jorden Page, Christian Salecich, Mitchell Young.
