The RSPCA is investigating the discovery of a kangaroo with its two front legs cut off and the butchered lower half of a second kangaroo in Mandurah.
Spokesman Richard Barry said the two roos were found in the same location.
It is believed that the female western grey kangaroo that had its forelimbs amputated was discovered on Saturday at Len Howard Reserve in Mandurah, where it wasleft to bleed to death.City of Mandurah rangers euthanised the kangaroo.
The halved kangaroo was found at the same location at a previous time.The RSPCA is urging anyone with information about the attacks to call police.
The discovery is one of many slaughtered kangaroo finds in the Mandurah area this year.A 20-year-old Falcon man is due to appear before the Mandurah Magistrate's Court on Thursday in relation to the discovery of a headless, gutted body of a kangaroo found on Sunday, February 15 on Estuary Road at Dawesville.
An 18-year-old man has already been fined $3000 for cruelty to an animal over the case.A police spokesman said when officers found the beheaded kangaroo they also discovered the two men allegedly covered in blood and kangaroo hair.
The men allegedly told police the kangaroo had been struck by a car and they wanted to "humanely put the kangaroo down".Officers searched the men's Suzuki and failed to locate a knife, however, they believe a fishing tackle box in the vehicle was missing a knife
In Gidgegannup in February, a young female Western grey was dragged by her feet behind a vehicle until her internal organs spilled outthe RSPCA said.In January in Byford, a kangaroo carrying a joey was shot with a crossbow.
Weeks before the Estuary Road attack, an orphaned kangaroo was attacked with whipper snipper wire at Preston Beach, south of Mandurah.The RSPCA is also investigating the alleged strangling of a kangaroo with a wire noose in Manjimup.
