The West Australian June 14, 2009, 12:30 pm

Police are questioning a 17-year-old boy after he allegedly tried to hold-up a Mt Lawley deli with a replica firearm last night.

Police said the boy entered the Central Avenue deli about 7pm and produced a replica firearm.

The store owner sounded an audible alarm and the boy fled from the store empty handed.

A passerby apprehended the boy and held him until police arrived.
