Shane Dye has been called to an inquiry in Mauritius over his handling of a horse which finished second in a race on Saturday.
Dye rode Hold My Jacket in the Cayeux Cup won by The Cardinal ridden by Danny Nikolic.
Stewards questioned Dye after the race over his actions in the early part of the home straight and adjourned the inquiry until Tuesday.Dye is the equal leader on the jockeys' premiership after taking up a contract in Mauritius a couple of months ago when opportunities in Sydney dried up.
Nikolic accepted a short term contract to ride through the winter months.MAURITIUS AAP
