Tattoo teen admits she was lying

A Belgian teenager has reportedly admitted she was lying, after claiming a tattoo artist gave her 56 stars over one side of her face instead of the three she asked for.

Kimberley Vlaminck had said she fell asleep during the procedure, and woke up with a lot more than she bargained for.

However, the UK's Daily Telegraph reports that Vlaminck has confessed she did not nod off, and was fully aware of what was happening.

She apparently cried foul afterwards because when her father saw the stars, he was angry with her.

Ms Vlaminck told a Dutch TV crew: "I asked for 56 stars and initially adored them. But when my father saw them, he was furious. So I said I fell asleep and that the tattooist had made a mistake."

The tattoo artist, Rouslan Toumaniantz, had denied he had made a mistake, saying the teen wanted all 56 stars. Police started an investigation into the teenager's complaint.

Toumaniantz still initially agreed to pay for half of the treatment to remove the tattoos, after Vlaminck said she wanted to keep the stars on her forehead.
