Sword bandits scare shop workers in holdup

Two shop assistants were threatened by a man armed with a sword demanding cash at a Yokine takeaway store overnight.

The two offenders, one wearing a white face mask, entered the Subway store at Dog Swamp Shopping Centre about 10pm.

They demanded cash from the workers who were in the process of cleaning.

One of the workers ran out of the store, while the other was pushed into a display cabinet.

The worker was then pushed inside the store’s office before the offenders escaped with a small amount of cash.

They were last seen running through the car park towards Flinders Street.
